Sony has taken the wraps of a prototype stereoscopic 3D camera system that it claims will revolutionise the burgeoning 3D film production sector.  CAR LEASING

The camera shoots 3D images at 240fps using a single lens, making the current 3D production requirement of two co-located cameras redundant.
It combines a newly developed optical system which captures the left and right images simultaneously, with existing high frame rate (HFR) recording technology.
The camera is the centerpiece of Sony’s exhibition stand at the Ceatec technology show currently being staged in Japan. Lease Takeover
In a statement, Sony claimed that 240fps represents the limit of human visual perception, and beyond that it becomes difficult to detect differences in terms of blur and "jerkiness" of moving images (where images that were continuous are now seen as a series of distinct snapshots).
“By developing a 240fps frame rate CMOS image sensor with properties close to the human eye, which is capable of capture natural images of even fast moving subject matter, Sony has succeeded in further enhancing the quality of 3D video images,” the company claimed.
Sony is yet to confirm a commercial release date for the new 3D camera, although speculation suggests it will be several months before the launch of consumer 3D television receivers, which are set to hit the market in the second half of 2010.
